Yvan Cournoyer, was born in Drummondville, Quebec and due to his fast feet he was nicknamed "The Roadrunner". Cournoyer played with the Montreal Canadiens for 16 seasons, from 1963 to 1978, winning the Stanley Cup 10 times.
In 1972, he scored the tying goal in the deciding eighth game of the Canada-USSR series with seven minutes remaining. Canada proudly went on to win the series with Paul Henderson's dynamic goal with only 34 seconds left in the game.
